I worked for the American Cancer society, more specifically with the Relay for Life at Hope College. I helped to recruit teams of students to participate in the event, as well as taking part in trying to gather donations from businesses, event planning, and helping to run the event itself. This is something I am very passionate about, and have worked with it for most of my time in college, however the 2016 Relay for Life was the first time I was in an active named leadership role.
